International Selkirk Loop

International Selkirk LoopDiscover wonderful surprises around every corner during the 280-mile International Selkirk Loop driving tour through Idaho, Washington and Canada. The loop is the only American Byway that actually travels into another country and has won international acclaim, including by Rand McNally as one of its top 5 “Best of the Roads.” At the loop’s northern end is Nelson, B.C., Sandpoint’s official sister city. The drive affords glorious scenery of mountains, lakes and rivers with a multitude of activities; it can be undertaken in one long day, but by far is best broken into a 2-day or multi-day excursion.
